This stunning five-storied temple, rising about 78 meters high, is supported by 72 pillars and is said to be over 2,500 years old, though the current structure dates to the 15th–16th century. The temple’s exquisite carvings, towering shikhara (spire), and the fluttering flag changed five times a day symbolize the eternal presence of Lord Krishna.
Another major attraction is the Rukmini Devi Temple, located 2 km from the main city, dedicated to Krishna’s consort, Devi Rukmini. The Gomti Ghat, where the sacred Gomti River meets the sea, is another holy spot where devotees perform rituals and take a dip to purify themselves. The city also has several smaller shrines dedicated to Vasudeva, Balrama, and Subhadra, adding to its spiritual charm.

Marine excavations off the coast of Dwarka have revealed submerged structures, ancient artifacts, and stone anchors — leading scholars to believe that remnants of the fabled ancient Dwarka might indeed lie beneath the waves of the Arabian Sea.
